Our History

CMax was founded in 2005, and has grown consistently since its inception.  Our founder, Bryan Gillum, started the business with a dream of helping companies build great teams. His objective was to operate with high integrity, provide objective guidance, and deliver outstanding service to each customer at a reasonable price.

CMax operates with the principal of establishing two new service lines per year. As a result, we’ve expanded our offerings significantly since our inception. All of our services are created with the goal of attracting, developing, aligning and retaining great employees for highly productive organizations. Over the last few years we have continued to expand strategically – such as Dayton, HR Outsourcing services, Creative / Marketing recruiting services, and CMax for Small Business.  Over time we have built a practice that offers a full suite of services to help companies of all sizes in numerous industries. As the CMax team continues to grow, we still hold fast to the key principles that were the foundation of our company: delivering outstanding service at a reasonable price.

Community Outreach

We believe that community stewardship is a critical component of being successful business professionals. That’s why every member of the CMax team is actively involved in supporting a chosen community organization, including serving as board members of organizations, volunteering at events, or providing financial support to various groups. You will often find us participating in various nonprofit events through organizations like See Kids Dream, Habitat for Humanity, the Humane Society, YWCA, Faith Mission and community efforts to revitalize the south side of Columbus. We are also an active member of the Columbus Chamber.

AIM Foundation (a CMax charitable give-back)

At CMax, we believe low-income families should have the basic human needs necessary to have a productive and successful life. We created the AIM foundation to help provide for the needs of the under-privileged families in our communities. The AIM foundation partners with organizations who are committed to supporting low-income families in the communities where we operate. When evaluating community partners and programs to sponsor, the Foundation evaluates the long-term impact of the program and the impact it will have on low-income families in our communities.

Since its inception in 2011, we have contributed 1% of our annual sales to the foundation. The organization has awarded more than 30 scholarships to disadvantaged students and awarded more than $10,000 to other programs.
